From 1946 to 1963 Wagner HS was known as Wurtsmith
Memorial High School. It became Wagner High School in1963 and closed in 1991
shortly after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo .

Open 1953 - 1976
First opened in1953 as the as the Tainan MAAG School
it was the first US military sponsored school in Tainan, Taiwan,
Republic of China. In 1955 the first building was constructed on the school
site familiar to most students and name was changed to the Tainan American
Elementary School. In 1960 the school name was changed to Jonathan M. Wanwright
High School. JMWHS was closed in 1976.
