Jacquline Kegeles Saint Anne is an Overseas School Alumnus. She
is a 1964 graduate of Paris High School. Her most recent TV series credit was being set designer for "Quantum
Leap."

Debbie Sapenter, a 1970 graduate of George C. Marshall High School, Ankara,
Turkey, won a silver medal at the l972 Olympics as a member of the 4x400 Women's
Relay.

General Schwarzkopf is an Army Brat and Overseas School Alumnus.
He attended Frankfurt American High School from 1948-49. He then moved to Heidelberg
American High School where
as a junior in 1950-51 he played on the school’s championship football
team.
He returned to the United States and graduated from Valley Forge Military
Academy in 1952.

Madolyn Smith is an Overseas School Alumnus and was a member of the
International School of Bangkok Class of '75 where she attended school
1969-1972.
She is known for her roles in "Urban Cowboy" (with John Travolta) in 1980 and "Funny Farm."
WILLIAM
JAY SMITH (1918- )
AUTHOR - POET
William Jay Smith has authored more than 50 books. His memoir, "Army
Brat", has been highly acclaimed.
Smith, described as "a most gifted and original poet" by former U.S.
Poet Laureate and 1989 Pulitzer Prize-winner Richard Wilbur, is the author
of ten books of poetry. In 1990, Smith's first complete collection of his
work, Collected Poems, 1938-1989, was cited as "magical" by New York Times'
reviewer Herbert Mitgang.
Smith has also written a dozen celebrated children's books, including
the illustrated Laughing Time: Collected Nonsense (1990) and Birds and
Beasts (1990). His credits include numerous translations of French, Italian,
Spanish, Russian, Swedish and Hungarian poetry, and several volumes of criticism.
He was Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress (a position now
called U.S. Poet Laureate) from 1968 to 1970.
Professor emeritus of Hollins College in Virginia, Smith has been poet
in residence at Williams College, chairman of the writing division of the
Columbia University School of Arts, and on the executive board of the Columbia
University Translation Center. The recipient of numerous awards,
he has been a member of the American Academy and Institute of Arts and
Letters since 1975.
SMOTHERS BROTHERS - TOM (1937- ) AND DICK (1939-

Tom and Dick were both born in Fort Jay on Governor's Island, New York.
Their father, Army Major Smothers, was captured in the Philippines in World
War II. He survived the Bataan Death March but died on his way to Japan.
The duo was popular during the 1960s and had their own show for three years.
