AOSHS Archive Historical Collections

Travel Book Donation Request
Do you have overseas travel books that cover subjects such as foreign travel, countries, cities, museums, castles, etc?  Consider sending them to the AOSHS Mary Muehring Library.
The Dorothy Cox Collection
The archives have just received over 1,200 pounds of memorabilia, artifacts and curios collected from around the world.
Thank you from Dr. Donna Alvah
AOSHS has received a signed copy of Dr. Alvah's new book: Unofficial Ambassadors, American Military Families Oversease and the Cold War 1946-1965.
School Memorabilia
Boxes arrive weekly full of photos, school records, trophies, awards, news clippings, yearbooks, pennants, class rings, written and videotaped histories, even a suite of armor that was a school mascot. The AOSHS Archives must catalog them all in order to preserve the history they reflect.

These are available with our notebooks of history, chronicles, yearbooks, t-shirts and many other items of interest.
Thanksgiving at Argonner Elementary School
This picture of Thanksgiving at Argonner ES is one of many images in the AOSHS Archives.
Overseas Student and Educator Databases
The information in these databases is critical to gathering and preserving the history of American education overseas.
Documentaries
Both the documentary, BRATS: Our Journey Home by Donna Musil and the A&E Biography of Shaquille O'Neal used the AOSHS Archives for their research.
Berlin Wall Section
Donated by the Berlin Brats alumni group, the 12 foot section of the Wall is on display at the Museum of World Treasures in Wichita.

School Yearbooks
AOSHS Archives house a number of overseas school yearbooks and yearbook CDs.
